Maybe an old song...

could bring back the old times?? :)

This song just makes my heart smile!! :)

I first heard the title from my elder sister (who referred to it as "a nice song" but forgot the tune at that time)...
and I first knew the tune in 2002 when I was in the ICLH dormitory in Manila during my "review days" (for the national board exams) when my group and I were looking for songs-with-easy-chords for the Holy Mass because it was our group's turn to be "the choir".

It has become one of my favorites because of its lyrics and tune...
and because it's one of the few songs I can play on the guitar.
I browsed upon my old song books last weekend and remembered how this song used to inspire me.

It's simple (a song for little children?!) and it's refreshing (for me!!)... :)

Pass It On

C Em F G
It only takes a spark to get a fire going.
C Em F G
And soon all those around, can warm up in glowing.
F
That's how it is with God's love,
Dm G Dm7 G Dm7 C
Once you've experienced it, you spread His love to everyone;
F
You want to pass it on.

What a wondrous time is spring, when all the trees are budding;
The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming.
That's how it is with God's love;
Once you've experienced it, you want to sing
It's fresh like spring; you want to pass it on.

I wish for you my friend, this happiness that I've found.
You can depend on Him, it matters not where you're bound.
I'll shout it from the mountain top
I want the world to know; the Lord of love has come to me,
I want to pass it on.
